Well, this will be my last update until the end of my 100-Day Challenge. With only 26 days to go, time has really flown by. I have felt more positive about the challenge lately. Exercising has become a more normal part of my routine each day. I even went for a walk one day during a break at work, which was nice. I think I will start to do more of that even after the challenge is over.
My entertainment is down to just $35 now as I went to a concert that cost me $20. I think I can manage to stick within this budget during the rest of this challenge without too much trouble.
To earn some extra money I edited a university student’s paper. We haven’t really sold anything else around the house lately, although that has been the primary source of our extra income during this challenge so far. I haven’t had any more opportunities to do online surveys as of yet.
We haven’t eaten out for the past few weeks and I am happy to report that my grocery bill for May is $50 less than our budget. I am impressed. I guess deciding not to buy “frivolous” items has really paid off.
We are saving well this month and we hope to put an extra $5000 towards our mortgage within the next few weeks. The downside is that both my husband and I will likely need some major dental work done soon so that will make a big dent in our emergency fund. Oh well, that’s what emergency funds are for.
I will keep this short today. There’s not much else to report. I will do my best to continue with the terms of my challenge until the very last day.
