How To Save Money When You Shop At Safeway

Safeway can be a really affordable place to buy your groceries if you are really selective in what you purchase.  There are a really great perks to shopping at Safeway including excellent customer service and fresh, high quality produce.  Canadians also have the benefit of collecting Air Miles. The downside is that Safeway is pricy unless you are careful.  You definitely want to apply for the Safeway Club Card so you can take advantage of the sales.  Otherwise you are paying way more for your purchase.

Do Not Buy More Than You Need Even If It Is Cheaper

Sometimes it is easy to get suckered into buying more than we need because the price sometimes drops when you buy more.  However, if you end up buying more than you need and you end up letting some go to waste, then you have really not saved any money at all.

Save Money By Shopping At Dollarama

There are many great dollar stores out there, but my all time favorite is Dollarama.  In the past everything was always one dollar or less, but now you can also buy items for two dollars.  This allows for a wider variety of items and still things are very reasonably priced.

Dollarama carries a variety of different food items that are really cheap.  For example, I often buy my spaghetti sauce there.  It’s a great brand and it only costs $1.25 per can.  I seldom can find it for cheaper at Superstore.  Some items that I have bought, however, didn’t turn out so well.  I find that it’s best to select the brand names you trust when it comes to buying food items at Dollarama.

Become A Mystery Shopper

Want to earn some extra money?  If you enjoy shopping and have the ability to pay attention to minute details, you may really enjoy being a mystery shopper.  Mystery shoppers are independent contractors who anonymously shop or make phone calls to specific companies and then report on their experiences and get paid for it.

One company you may want to check out is c-shop. There are no fees to sign up to work for them and as long as you have regular access to a computer and either a fax machine or scanner you are good to go.  Other qualifications include a good grasp of the English language, ability to record in detail your experiences, and a really good memory.
