I seldom buy anything at Shoppers Drug Mart as I can usually get everything I need at Superstore, but the few times I have gone to Shoppers, I discovered that they provide great incentives there whenever you spend a specific amount of money. For example, just recently my husband and I went to pick up some special toothbrushes there and because we spent more than $75 we got a $20 gift card for Boston Pizza. Nice!
In the past, I have seen them advertise incentives if you spend at least $50. The great thing is that they have various groceries in addition to the regular pharmacy products, so by adding a few extra grocery items to your shopping cart, you can easily meet the minimums to get the freebies and still be buying something you are guaranteed to use.
If you buy items on sale at Shoppers you can often find some really good deals. Their regular priced items are often fairly expensive, so I try to avoid buying anything there unless it is on sale.
There are certain items that we can only seem to find at Shoppers Drug Mart, and hey, if they are willing to reward me in return for being their customer, then all the better. Being a smart shopper means finding the best deals and whenever possible, getting great rewards as well. There is a lot of competition out there, so you might as well take advantage of it.
